Default I'm not sure....

I don't have any experience with it at all. I was at PetSmart the other day and was talking with a groomer (but we weren't getting our dog groomed) we were buying clippers. I asked her about the PediPaws to see if she had heard anything about them or if they had tried them there at PetSmart.

She said they had not used it there but she had actually ordered one from TV and used it on her Golden Retriever. She said that her dog's nail actually got caught between the dremmel part and the guard and hurt her dog.

She said it was made sturdy enough but all it is actually to her, was a dremmel with a guard on it.

So she threw it away and continues to use her regular dremmel. I use a dremmel on mine and it does fine. I can't remember how much the PediPaws are but you can get a regular dremmel at any place that sells tool type kits.

Oh, and mine isn't loud either, the higher you turn it up, the louder it gets, but I use it on low because I don't want the friction to burn their nails.

Good luck, if you get it, let us know your review of it.
