the surgery is only like 1600 if you go to dr tobias I believe but she is at the university of tennessee but she is the only one i would trust with this surgery as she does a bunch of them and has small hands for the tinies. Please contact her and fax all info to her for review of this pup as many vets do not have a clue about liver shunt -- I do know a rescue that specializes in this if you are considering giving him up
