Last x-mas one of those vendor carts were doing hair demos using Jose Eber brand curling and flat irons. I reluctantly let the girl curl my hair thinking, oh this isn't going to hold. (My hair is thick & when I curl my hair I would use hairspray on it while it was still wrapped around the iron.) She did 3 perfect Shirley Temple curls and I didn't have any styling product in my hair. I pulled my fingers through it and it didn't fall. I running my fingers through my hair and it stayed curly. Needless to say, I bought the flat iron and curling iron. Later I bought a smaller iron off of Ebay for cheaper. The flat iron is tons better than the one I had from Walgreens and it has a temp dial that goes up to 400 degrees. One of my co-workers uses a Chi flat iron and she hascurly hair. When she irons her hair it is stick-straight and looks gorgeous!
Good luck. |
i forgot the brand, when i get home i will find out. I know that i bought it at Ricky's for like $20. It's just a regular ceramic one about 1" wide. I do have a blue Tourmaline T3 that i bought like 2 yrs ago but haven't tried it since then cause i was doing it all wrong and was convinced it didnt work on my hair so i need to give it a try again. I really like how the one i have curls, its just they fall right away. I would buy another one, is hot tools really good? For loose, long curls what would you suggest? I don't want shirley temple curls lol I have heard good things about chi, i just dont want to spend the money if it wont work on me. Which do you think is better out of chi and hot tools? I would be willing to spend the money if it will make the curls last
