Bless you for taking him...So sorry you were definitely lied to, no doubt about that. Please know that Liver Shunt surgery (if the shunt can be corrected) is VERY successful and he can live a normal happy life. However if left untreated he can die early.
I know that you are upset, but PLEASE DO NOT return him, I fear that if you return him to where ever he came from, they will let him suffer and die a painful death, or they will simply put him to sleep
There are lots of us that have Shunt Babies or MVD Babies ~ LOTS of success stories....
