I know how you feel. I had to rehome an african grey bird that I had for 10 years. It was so hard. She is doing great in her new home that has other birds. The lady I gave her to used to be a vet tech so I know she will get the care she deserves. I felt sooo guilty but I knew it had to be done for her sake as I did not have the time to devote to her and she needed a household that had more activity. Birds are flock animals and thrive on noise and activity.
