Or maybe I need to wait til he's older for going to different places like my daughter wanted so bad to take him to Petsmart today, but I told her no. Last night I was going to go get some food at Sonic where my daughter works and come back hom, well I got in the truck and was holding him, I cranked it and he started shaking like he was so nervous....( but my daughter said he might have thought I was taking him back to the vet.. )
So I took him back inside and didn't want to upset him. He's 16 weeks old now. So should I wait or what ? thanks for any input |
We started traveling with General Lee when he was 6 weeks old and brought him home we have a 3 hour drive. He stayed in my lap or tried to worm into the sleeves of my coat. At Christmas we drove 2 hours to pick our son up from the airport. We put General Lee in the crate and secured it between the seats in the back. He got sick 3 times. (I had white jeans on of course)

We got him a car seat that secures in the back seat just like a baby seat and using his harness he is secured in the car seat. In February we got T-boned on the freeway due to ice on the road and ended up in the meridian. General Lee did not get tossed around and was fine. Since then we have taken him on many trips some as long at 6 hours one way and he has not gotten sick once.
Good Luck
