I was harassed by my boss once. It was a small company and the person who was responsible for personnel was a good friend of the owner. I had no where to turn, other than an attorney and was afraid I would come out on the short end of that one. The boss was Iranian, and you know what Iranian men think of women. I think he felt threatened by me. It was the only job I walked away from. I had my fill. I called in sick on Friday. On Saturday I went in, cleaned out my desk and put my resignation and keys on the boss's desk. Sunday morning about 3 am I woke up in a panic, wondering what the heck I had done. By 5:00 pm that Sunday, I had applied for a tax id number and business license and was in business for myself. That was 12 years ago! I still have that business, work at it part time but it is something to fall back on if I ever get in a similar situation. Don't hesitate to do what your heart tells you. I hope you are one who is fortunate enough to find a job that feeds your soul as well as your stomach. Many are not so lucky!
