I agree, the larger yorkies are probabgly better for kids. Not to say that a child cannot be thaught to treat the dog gently. I have grandkids of all ages and they are fine with the dogs, but you want a dog that the child can run and play with, without havingf to worry about it getting hurt. And the 7+ pounders are probably much better for that. And the good thing about it is, the latrger ones are usually cheaper. Remember a gallon of milk weighs 8 pounds, so a 7 or 8 pound dog is still a small dog.
