This past litter of mine was my first, and I so want to do the right thing for my puppies and their new owners. Is there anyway of finding out if a puppy has a disorder, other then making sure both the parents don't have any? |
I think the more reputable breeders give a two-year guarantee. Generally liver shunt and Legg-Perthes disease will show up before one year of age. You can get an exam for OFA at one year of age for luxating patella.
Good luck and good for you for trying to do the best for your puppies.
