I know most vets still don't go by the fact that they're over vaccinating pets but I fear that it is going to be a huge issue since I live in KY & everything is sooo behind here. Our vet probably hasn't even heard of the over vaccinating, haha.

I've looked for the previous started threads about over vaccinating but haven't had any luck finding anything. When I use the search, it says my words are either too short or too long . Someone help me find these!

Her postcard is for:

·10/3/2008- K9 COUGH ANNUAL BOOSTER
·10/24/2008- ANNUAL DHLPPV VACCINATION
·10/24/2008- RABIES BOOSTER

Also, I know rabies is required by law but how serious is that? Lilly is inside pretty much all the time unless we're out and she's in her carrier or in my arms. Does she still need the booster? She's 1 year & 3 months and weighs around 9 lbs if that matters.

Thanks for any and all help.

Ok! Do you board, doggy day care, or do play dates with your puppy!? Usually the bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine that they shoot in the nose, is good for 6 mths- if you dont board your dog, i wouldnt really waste time to get that vaccine- and if you do decide to board, get it done 2 weeks before so it can get in her system- some groomers may require them to have this done as well- i usually dont get this vaccine.

ANNUAL DHLPPV VACCINATION- this is VERY important vaccine- i would get this, and so is rabies

even though she stays inside, anything can happen...rabies is usually good for 3 yrs too!

hope this helped!
