Do airlines really expect you to keep your dog in a bag under the seat the entire time...I mean it seems really cruel. Anywho any advice you might have would be greatly appreciated by both myself and my little girl Tiffy |
Check with the airline and be sure you meet all of their requirements to fly with a pet. The carrier has to be the right size. You will probably need a certificate from your vet that all of her vacs are current. Yes, you will have to leave her in the carrier under the seat. Get her used to being in the carrier before the flight. You can get something to keep her calm from your vet if you think she will need it. You don't want her barking during the flight. I have flown many times with my Bichon, Lacy, and she gets along fine. I got her used to her Sherpa bag when she was just a puppy and she is happy as long as she's with me. Oh, and remember to wear something pretty. You will get a lot of attention traveling with a cute little furkid!
