Default suggestions?!?! I need some help!!!

I'm not sure if I should be posting this in the off topic area since this is about a cat rather than my Yorkies but anyway. I know I haven't been on here like at all for a few weeks now, I've had so much drama going on in my life lately with marital issues and everything else that I just haven't been on any of my online accounts lately...But I have been staying with my parents and yesterday one of their cats broke his leg, we have no idea how, but we could tell it wasn't a dog fight or anything. My dad took him to our regular vet this morning (the same vet I have been having problems with from my former vet posts) and as of today they are no longer mine or my parents vet. The ER vet put a cast on his leg, I guess it's broke so badly that they are hoping it starts to heal with the cast, but most likely he will need orthopedic surgery. My dad already made the comment of putting him down...Over a broken leg....Words can't describe how NOT ok I am with that...So now I'm going through the battle of trying to explain care credit to him..If I could help pay I would but its just impossible for me at this point with my own 2 babies plus my bills..I'm so not trying to get sympathy you guys, though I'm sure it sounds like it! Basically the cat is in my old rabbit cage because its the only thing big enough for his huge furry butt! I guess the vet doesn't want him out of the cage, and I can't fit a litter box in it with him and he's going stir crazy already because he is mainly an outside cat, he hates being inside...So really I'm just looking for any suggestions anyone may have on dealing with broken legs and trying to keep him comfortable. This is the first broken leg I've had to deal with ever! (knock on wood, my little ones haven't had it happen)
