Hi guys!
As you all know, I have been looking for a Yorkie for several months.
Well I finally am getting my very own on Saturday (which happens to be my birthday)!
Last night, I was up at 3:30 a.m. and I was checking Craigslist, and there was an ad that was posted to adopt a 2-year-old Yorkie. I emailed her right away.
She received about 40 emails in 12 hours, and mine kept sticking out and felt right to her. I talked to her tonight for about 40 minutes, and she agreed to let me be his new mommy! I am soooo happy! I haven't been this happy in months!
I will be picking him up Saturday. She is giving me to him for free, since he needs a vet visit and shots. He is coming with his kennel, leash, papers, microchipped, etc.
I just have a few questions. I have been reading up and I saw Yorkies don't eat all that much. So the food they need to eat, needs to be high in nutrients. I was wondering what food would be best to feed a 2 year old Yorkie. If you could suggest a couple brands that would be best.
Also, what treats are best for them?
I was also reading that a sour apple spray should be bought so they don't chew up your furniture, etc. Has anyone used it? And what is their experience for it? I am not sure I want to use it. I don't know how safe it is. Any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks and I will post pics asap!
Keri
