Joey had a scooting problem when he was a puppy, and the vet showed me how to do it, a word of warning, if not done correctly you can push the contents further up the canal and cause a serious infection. It use to be thought that this should be done regularly, but now they believe if a dog doesn't need it there is no need to do it. So only do it if your dog is scooting, and the area looks slightly puffy. I would recommend having a vet show me how to do it the first time. Good video! |
