I took them away from mom (still in the same room, but in ex pens) to wean them around 7 weeks. They have been away from her since then. They are now 13 weeks old and have just had their 3rd set of shots. I want them all to run around and play with mom now, but not sure if this would be fine at this age. Wondering if I should let them get a little older first or have more shots, etc... I know one of my tinies didn't do so well after a good hour of play. She is only 1.5lbs and she was a bit low on sugar! I nursed her back w/ some good ol nutri-cal and chicken, but am a bit worried about letting them play constantly with mom. Please let me know if any of you have done this before. Any good recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. I weaned the pups and then kept the puppies away until shots were utd to help them ward off anything. Now I would love to see them all together again, but at what cost, if any? |
Should be no problem, the only thing I would do is monitor the wee one....and only leave her in with the pack for short periods of time.
Since I let my mom's call the shots on weaning....I never completely take them away from her. The only thing I do is about 9-10 weeks of age they begin sleeping away from her. But, most the day they are with her. From the age of 8-12 weeks of age is very important time for them to be with Mom, since she does the majority of training then........
