Oh man I have the same problem. Maybe someone will have advice???
My pup is 10 months old, and I cannot leave the harness on him alone or else he chews them up. I resorted to using just the step in kind, and whenever I see that at target in the $1, 2.50 section, I'll buy a bunch. Apparently though, I didn't buy enough. I bought 3 extra, thinking that it would last, but every now and then, I would accidentally leave on the harness, and then before you know, its chewed into and broken. I'm on my last one now.
