well you have to weigh the pros and cons. Birth control pills... higher risk of some sort of cancer.. but for the most part the pros outweight the "possible" cons... same with the chip... god forbid you loose her and see her with someone... how could you prove she is yours??? Layla has been chipped and it makes me feel better knowing that she is.
