Oh i am SO sorry to hear this. Heartworm treatment is hard on them but he will pull through. It's not a death sentance and you are lucky it didn't go into phase 4. He is a lucky guy that he is with a family that will take care of him. it is ESSENTIAL after his treatment that he is confined for up to a month while his body absorbs the dead cells. If he isn't still the cells can travel into his lungs and this can be deadly. I know he will do just fine.. he has all of our prayers!
