I just found out my new puppy has Giardia and I am freaking out because I have two other dogs that may now be infected! The new puppy has been at my house for almost a week now and I got the results today. She has been mostly kept in an x-pen but has been let out to socialize with the other dogs. My other dogs are 7 months and 1 year old. She has only pooped in her pen and my other dogs have not been too near her as they were a little freaked out by her (She is a mini Boston Terrier). I am getting my other dogs tested today and keeping them away from her.

I have a few questions. I have my two dogs downstairs where there is carpeting. What would be the best way to disinfect should it turn out that they are infected?
What kind of reimbursement should I expect from the person I got my new puppy from?
