Please don't use a prong collar on a Yorkie. I took Leo to obedience class when he was almost 6lbs. I used a small choke collar. Used the right way it does not do damage to the trachea. All I ever did with correcting was just a flick of the wrist and give the command. If your roommates friend was an actual animal behaviorist she should have given you some helpful advice not been a snooty B about it.
