That is interesting because we have a big orange cat, and Sophie always bites his ankles when he goes downstairs to use his litter box. We make Sophie stay upstairs (main floor), and the kitty can come and go both the downstairs (basement-split entry house) and upstairs, but Sophie always waits for the kitty and bites his ankles if he goes downstairs.
