Ellie went on vacation with us this year and we drove through there on our way to another state. Somewhere on YT I posted the list of stuff I had to pack for her. That might be good to look for. It wasn't cold, so she didn't require anything special...just normal travelling things. I guess I would add coats, sweatshirts and possibly doggie shoes to the list if it would've been cold. I would've also taken her Snugglesafe and extra blankets.
I have no advice about the cabin vs. condo but I do know that there has been at least one black bear attack not far from there (probably wouldn't happen in winter), so she should be watched very carefully outside and I don't think I'd want to be too far from civilization or going down windy roads 6,000 feet up in the mountains.
I think I'd go with the condo personally.
