I recently started using C.E.T AquaDent by Virbac (got it at my vet's office) that you add to the water to prevent plaque. None of mine have thrown up from it and seem to drink thier water same as normal. I am hoping that this will help with thier teeth. Is this what you were using? Mine was $24.95
