I would assume that "avocado" looking thing was vomited since it didn't have odor - so I *do* think he threw-up last night (aka, within the last 24 hours). Maybe that "thing" was what his body was fighting this whole time, it's hard to say. I agree with Marci, I think you're on the border of high risk here with not bringing him in.
Like Marci asked - gums? Is he drinking? Energy? I would feed *just* some rice, or better yet, some mashed potatoes - and see how he does for an hour or 2; if he cannot hold this down - you really DO need to get this baby in to the vet.
