Default Traveling to Gatlinburg in the winter

This year our family is considering going to Gatlinburg for winter vacation, and taking Dino with us!

I would like to know about winter care for yorkies. I live in Miami so I have never had to deal with cold winters before. I will be taking him on strolls through town, and I plan on taking him to the Smokey Mountain state park. He will be outside a lot, so what are things I can do for him to stay warm.

If anyone has traveled through the area can give me some good advice please let me know!

Do you guys think we should rent a cabin or a condo? I was thinking about renting a cabin but a couple years ago we rented a cabin and it was very difficult to get to, we had to drive almost 20 minutes around curvy corners and hills to get to the cabin. I was looking and there is this area that has 1-5 bedroom condos with kitchen and everything, and it has more resort facilities like a pool. It is very pet friendly, and even has a dog run area.

Thanks for your help!
