Do you mean in the forefoot? Sounds like it could be a stress fracture to me. I suggest going to a podiatrist. I had a stress fracture a couple of years ago. It came on after wearing new shoes. I had to wear a cast boot for several weeks until it healed. Just be aware that 50% of all stress fractures don't show up on x-rays. My stress fracture was the start of many unrelated foot problems. My podiatrist has become one of my best friends unfortunately! And most of what they do does not hurt. BTW, I am an RN.
