Another easy thing to do is to cut out "added salts" and drink 100 oz of water a day. Most foods (proteins especially) have naturally occuring sodium so you would just cut out anything that has "salt" as an ingredient.
On my plan I also eat 5-6 small meals a day (every 2 1/2 -3 hours). At each meal I have 2 oz of lean protein and balance it with 1/3-1/2 of carb or fruit and then free vegetables throughout the day. No salt, no sugar, no dairy. Its really restrictive but it works for me. And its taught me smaller portions so even when I "fall off the wagon" I don't eat nearly the way I used to.
I also walk 30 minutes a day and do resistance band training 2 times a week.
Good Luck!
