This subject is very timely since I have recently begun talking with show breeders of many champions. I am absorbing as much information as I can in my dialog and am currently reading a book entitled "The Joy of Breeding Your Own Show Dog" by Ann Seranne.
The more I learn, the more I realize that there is plenty of information that has been posted that is not accurate. Before I started doing my own research, I only "felt" that poor information was being stated as fact when it was not. Now . . . I KNOW what is incorrect.
Kathy . . . thank you for bringing this problem to light in a professional manner. You addressed each issue that was misinformation and gave the correct information.
In some ways, I cannot imagine how hard it is when you see poor information be posted as fact. It has to drive each of you absolutely crazy! I can understand how passionate you are in your posts when you do try to correct what has been said. Kudos to you! Each of you truly do care about the breed enough to want to help those that are not as knowledgable.
