Well I've just read too many darn grooming horror stories...now I'm scared to take my Winston into a groomer. I took him to the breeder + she did his first grooming but she said he was mortified the entire time, and it really just terrified my little fuy. So... I'd prefer at this point to at least give it a shot.

I bought some clippers. My little guy is ALL matted up (mommy's fault, I know) and so I"m going to have to shave most of him ..which is fine. But I have no idea how to even start this. Should I just go at it? His face is okay...amost no matting, just needs a bit of a trim.
Does anyone have any tips or anything to give me a head start?
