I keep our cats food in my daughters bedroom. She's away at college, so the cat has the room to herself, but she doesn't like our little Tyke at all and stays in the room with her food.
I did have to move it because when we brought him home it was in the hallway and he kept trying to eat it. Since I've moved it to the bedroom he doesn't go in there and alls well.
