She works alone (no employees). Her overhead is minimal. Let's say she uses $10.00 in product (which I doubt, I'm sure it's much less) that's still $60.00/hr for her labor. She doesn't pay rent, if she does she's paying herself. The utility bill I'm sure is minimal especially since it's all part of her household expense. She's making pretty darn good money, a heck of a lot more than I make. I'm sorry but I really don't feel the need to tip her on top of it. Now if she had employees and I saw them, I would tip them as they are sharing their fee with her, big difference in my opinion.
I understand your situatiion...but she still has a nut to pay...not everyone will tip...it should be a min of 15% I don't care if they are owners, operators, waiters/waitresses...dealers, valet...

Just a case in point..my DD is a waitress. She is taxed 10% of the food / drinks served. NO MATTER WHAT. She is also only getting $2.35 an hour.
She served 9 older ladies for a lunch and was left .75 cents by 2 of them...she is in the hole for the day $9 for the taxes on that table. Go figure....
