My Yorkie is a lap dog. He also follows me around the house. When he gets hyper, I tell him to settle and he calms down. I love the settle command. I taught him the command by accident. When he got hyper, I held him still and said settle. Once he remains still, then I let him go and said good boy. I amazed my family with this command that sometimes it seems like a new trick.
