Here is my problem. Lately, she's been going nuts at the squirrels in my backyard. She is convinced she can climb the trees and get them. In fact, she has gotten so upset with them that the minute i let her outside she barks endlessly. She actually vibrates in anticipation of getting to go outside and bark like made at the squirrels. I'm an early riser and she's waking my neighbours. How can i get her to settle down? |
She has high preditor drive. It a form of aggression but it also she doing what she breed for. Leash and a muzzle Muzzle will stop the barking Leash will give you control.
Take her out and treat her with treats fro being quite... yup I know that muzzles artifically doing it for you but it a start.
Teach her some self control with the nothing in life is free protocal.. you can search that on line.
You can scare teh critters out of the yuard before you go out as well.
