I can relate to cold...the winters are horrid cold here and I hate them more every year! Many times we've made the national lows. Ugh. I got Maddie in November of last year and it was still fairly warm then, but in December we got weeks of below 0 weather...as low as -40. Maddie refused to go potty on the pads and I even fixed up a pee place in the garage, but she would not go there either. She HAD to go out in the frigid cold. I would stand right there...shak'n in my boots...and quickly pick her up and put her inside my coat when she was finished. I always put sweaters or coats on her, but no amount of clothing is enough for the frigid cold weather. I really dread winter coming and I'm sure Maddie will not be spending as much time outdoors as she's used to now. Our winters are soooo darn long too. Ugh.
I guess my suggestion would be...warm clothes and find lots of activities to do indoors. If she'll use pee pads, that would be the best solution. Boots would be a great idea...keep her little feet from freezing! Good luck with your move! |
