All I can speak for is Gracie. She thoroughly enjoys having a little sister around to keep her company while I am at work. Dogs are pack animals by nature, which tells me they prefer not to be alone. However, you need to attempt to find a pal that will be compatible. I suggest doing it sooner rather than later, and involving your current baby in the selection process.
