Actually, the bed you're describing sounds perfect! She only needs to sleep in it, and since it's not huge, it'll be nice and warm from her body heat
I have to put PJ's on Luna, she freezes her booty off at night. DH works outside in the sun all day, so it has to be 68 in here or neither of us is going to get much sleep. She used to fight me putting them on, but now seems to realize that they are keeping her toasty, so she helps me now
Maybe you could try just making her wear the pj's until she gets used to it? My Izzy HATES them too
She walks like she has no knees for a while until she forgets about it and then she's okay
