Mojo has made it eight days now without an accident in the house, and I think he's finally housebroken!
I am so excited. The last time he pooped in the house, I had just taken him outside to potty, but he was too busy barking at the cat to do his business. I was concerned he was going to jump out of his x pen to chase the cat, so I brought him back inside before he did his business. Within two minutes, he pooped in the floor and I caught him in the act. I lost my temper and spanked him! I know, bad thing to do, but I was so mad at him for acting like an idiot barking at and wanting to chase the cat. Anyway, I think that spanking made the difference, because he has not had an accident since. He will come sit directly in front of me, and I have to ask him if he wants to go outside. I would prefer that he barked or scratched at the door to alert me, but I'm happy to settle for whatever signal he gives. I am thrilled that he is finally housebroken. He is six months old now. We used no pee pads ever. He has gone outside from the day I got him, thanks to his breeder's advice. Yea Mojo!
