We just got back from the dogtors - - - I wanted to get Emma in to have the eye looked at, since it doesn't seem swollen or sore today and I didn't like the way her eyes were looking in pictures I'd taken over the past couple of days....

Dr. Neel wanted Emma to see Dr. Logan, which we did.

Evidently, she's progressed to having "dry eye" in both eyes, even though she's never had any problems with the left eye.... (she tested okay a couple weeks ago) - - and the right eye is smaller than the left.... (just a little at this point - but enough that I noticed it... ) - - - the pupil in the right eye is not constricting... but that COULD be caused by the atropine, so no more of that and they will recheck her again on Tuesday and we'll decide what to do from there if there is no change.

There's always the possibility that with one genetic defect - - we will see another.... and I've known that from the beginning..... and it MAY happen even, that in the long run - Emma doesn't have function of that eye..... but that worry is a long way off, so I'm told not to dwell on it now. These issues could fade and all may be perfectly fine with her.... so we'll just have to wait and see.
