I would stop giving him rawhide. They can become soft and get hung in their throats and they could choke. Rawhide is also hard to digest, and could cause a blockage. Mine can only chew on a rawhide while I am sitting right beside her, and the moment it starts getting soggy, I take it away. They aren't supposed to eat them. If your puppy needs to chew, I'd suggest getting him some Bully Sticks. AMD sells some great ones on her site westbrookdog.com. Those are much safer and digestable.
My pup also used to eat just Bil Jack, but I've stopped giving her any store bought treats in favor of healthier ones like peeled apples and carrots. You can also boil him some chicken and pull off pieces for a treat.
