Apparently your dogs are just like mine: Bella's got a long, silky coat and Puddie has a shorter cotton/wool coat. I keep Puddie trimmed in a long puppy cut; he's a masculine little thing that NO ONE would ever mistake for a "she". When he walks, and with this cut, he looks like a bear cub. Very cute!
And Bella is *all* GIRL. Both of them are beautiful, handsome dogs. I prefer to adjust for and play up the differences in their coats rather than to try to make them look the same. There is less maintenance, too: there's no way you'll be able to make that cotton coat look silky!
