drinking lots of water and... Hello. My wife and I just got a yorkie, Pippin. He'll be 9 weeks old on Saturday, 9/27. We noticed that he's been drinking a lot more water than usual today. Also, when he goes, there seems to be a little less stool than normal (that is, he may be constipated). The only thing I can think of that may be causing this (aside from something serious) is that we recently stopped watering down his dry food; he's now on actually dry dry food. My thinking is that his young system may not be able to handle the dry food yet, and this could be causing him to be a bit constipated and more thirsty. Has anyone heard anything about this possibility? Today is the first day that this has been happening, so we haven't considered a visit to the vet yet, but we will if it continues. Any thoughts?
Thanks! |
