I had a bad diverticulitis infection in August and was in the hospital for 5 days (I had one last Oct also but recovered from that one). The infection has not gone away and the only things that I can eat are liquids and soft, mushy foods. No grains, no raw vegtables, no fiber. So they are taking out the part of my colon that is infected and then, after it heals, I'll feel better. That's the plan.
