I, personally, am not brushing. Yucca is a natural cleansing agent, and in time will wear away the tarter. But it does Take time. You "can" brush along side of using the product..but I am not. My babies breath are all better
I keep referring to this but my friends Yorkie...6 years old...never had a dental, never had a teeth brush, breath was horrible and teeth were brown. After 6 months of use the tarter was eaten away and a "stain" was still visible. After almost a year..the teeth were completely white!

I AM seeing results so far with their breath!!! It does claim to be tasteless to them but they DO ghave minty fresh breath!
