This is something you need to ask your vet about. I know oak leaves and acorns contain tannic acid which is extremely poisonous to horses. I have a couple of oak trees in my yard and have been concerned for my puppy too, as he likes to grab every leaf he sees and chew them. For some reason I think they are not as harmful to dogs as they are horses, but I know they are very dangerous for horses to eat. Hopefully your dog won't be so interested in them when the ground in covered! If you find out the answer, please post as I am concerned about it too!
