Seriously, I realize it's their general statement, but since it was brought up...
Against factory farming regarding raising any animals for human consumption, or against inhumane practices in factory farming? That is the difference. They are not trying to promote better practices in factory farming, they are trying to eliminate it altogether. Taking something that probably does need to be addressed (factory conditions) and running with it to support
their cause.
Now as far as inhumane treatment, yes, by all means I support that. (Despite the fact that it would mean prices on alot resulting products would at least double. $7 for a gallon of milk!)
