 Lucy's gone
Some of you know that Lucy's been sick since last week. For some unknown reason she developed congestive heart failure. She's been taking Lasix to remove the fluid from around her lungs. She had been doing so much better the last few days, I thought she was going to be alright.
Today was Caesar's birthday and I had everybody outside taking pictures (thank goodness). Lucy was fine. She was having a great time guarding her treats from the other dogs.
This evening I noticed she was breathing harder and about 10:00 PM, I noticed that she was getting really bad so I rushed her in to emergency. By the time I got there with her she was in terrible shape. They tried to save her, but there was nothing they could do. She was finally put to sleep to end her suffering.
