I fly with Gracie all the time and thankfully she's very quiet and has never needed anything; however, her vet told me that if she was nervous/upset by flying, to give her 1/8 tsp. of children's benadryl to relax her. She weighs 4.5 lbs. A 20 lb. child gets 3/4 tsp. so that's a very conservative dose, I think.
