| Crazy! I'm sorry, but your vet is a paid spokesperson! They get great funding from Iams and Eukanuba, believe me. My vet was actually honest enough to say that 'most' vets aren't even trained in pet nutrition, himself included. Some of the big natural pet food companies employ nutritionists that you can email with questions relating to individual dogs, I'd start there. The next step would be to find out if your area has any suppliers of natural foods. I live near Lexington, KY and there is the MOST wonderful store, Bluegrass Barkery. Clay, the owner, is so knowledgable about the varied foods he carries....he's a great resource. I hope you find a food you're comfortable with, but please don't listen to your vet! |
