Great advise, Ash. Gus does not like me to go anywhere without him and usually cries the entire time until I return. He is used to being with me almost 24/7 since the day I got him - I created my own little monster. I have been leaving him home more often and he is gradually improving.
As for being nervous and scared, do you socialize her with other people and animals? It is important that you do not baby them.
