Fourteen years ago my vet told me to never clean my floors with anything I wouldn't like to soak my feet in for an hour. That's what our little ones feel like having to absorb all of those harmful chemicals throught the pads of their feet. What great advice!!

I use Seventh Generation natural cleaners all over the whole house, but I use diluted vinegar and water for the floors. Vinegar is a natural disenfectant and a great cleaner. I also use a floor steamer monthly to sanitize further and shine up our hardwoods. Be wary of cleaners that advertise being 'natural'....that term hasn't been evaluated by the FDA and there is no guarantee the products are any better. True 'green' companies are the best bets if you don't want to use vinegar.

Good luck!!
